Paid attendance in Major League Baseball for the 2015 regular season was up slightly from 2014, making it the seventh-highest all-time. The attendance mark was, eclipsed only by the years from 2005-2008 and 2012-2013.
The league saw a total of 73,760,020 over 2,417 dates, for an average of 30,517 per game. The average 2015 season total per club was 2,458,667. The 2015 total marked an increase of 0.4% increase over 2014, despite four fewer dates than last season and the fewest dates since 2008.
Fourteen clubs finished at more than 2.5 million, up from 12 in 2014. They were led by the Los Angeles Dodgers with total attendance of 3,764,815 followed by the Cardinals at 3,520,889. All told there were five clubs that saw attendance over 3 million for the season (Dodgers, Cardinals, Giants, Yankees, and Angels).
